Paseo-Cargill Energy biodiesel facility in Kansas City is operational
KANSAS CITY- Paseo-Cargill Energy, LLC said today that its biodiesel facility in Kansas City, Mo., began producing biodiesel in early April and has successfully completed all of the requirements to meet the testing standards for its provisional BQ9000 Accredited Producer certification.

It is a joint venture between Paseo Biofuels, Cargill and the Missouri Soybean Association. Cargill is providing operational, commercial and administrative services to the joint venture.
“Paseo Biofuels farmer-members are pleased that Cargill has made biodiesel production of the highest quality a priority,” said David Durham, chairman of Paseo Biofuels. “Customers expect trouble-free performance from their fuel and we are confident biodiesel produced at this facility meets those standards.”
"We are excited to have the Kansas City facility operational and producing the same high quality biodiesel that our customers have come to expect," said Colleen May, general manager for Cargill's North American biodiesel business. “We’re are leveraging our production experiences developed at our biofuels plant in Iowa Falls, Iowa, and are looking forward to continued success with this partnership.”
